ANDROID DEVELOPER (RIGA, LATVIA)

IT Camp partner is a Latvian IT company developing a rapidly growing social network with millions of users from all around the world. Its long-term vision is to become the leading global social network for young users to engage with existing friends and make new friends via visually appealing and entertaining yet very personal content.

There is a team of 25 people working in a company.

The office is located in Riga center.

Technology stack: Kotlin, RxJava/RxKotlin, Android Jetpack, JSON

The main product: social network for Mobile application for Android and iOS.

Due to the growth of the company for our partner, we are looking for an experienced Android developer to join the team.

Responsibilities:

• Proactive collaboration in the project team to help develop the product;
• Developing and maintaining the Android app using Kotlin;
• Following the latest Android technology trends and be able to implement it;
• Coming up with new solutions.

Requirements:

• Experience 5+ years in developing Android applications;
• Expert Android development knowledge with Kotlin;
• Good knowledge and experience with Android Jetpack and RxJava/RxKotlin libraries;
• Experience consuming RESTful APIs and utilizing JSON for a mobile application;
• Wizard of layouts, custom transitions and animations;
• You enjoy learning new things;
• A sharp eye and troubleshooting skills;
• Fluent in English and Russian.

The following would be considered as advantages:

• Experience with Java;
• Applied knowledge of TDD and unit testing;
• Having one or more personally created and published apps in PlayStore.
