JUNIOR/MIDDLE JAVA SOFTWARE ENGINEER FOR SWISSCOM

Due to the growth of the company, a brand new DevOps centre has been  established in Riga, Latvia last year, and we invite you to join it.

Size of Team in Riga: 40 developers (to be doubled this year).

The product/Team:

Roles are open for 2 teams:

  1. My Solution Designer (MSD) – 9 developers (2 are in Riga). Team is  responsible for the Customer Solution- Design platform, which supports the Sales process and allows a Solution Designer/Partner to build a solution, creating artefacts like price information, offer, contract. It also provides the data to the Fulfilment systems for contract onboarding.
  2. Allegro  – 10 developers. Team Allegro is responsible for the Order Management application, Order Capturing and Order Management of Telco products and Telco Outsourcing Cases or Customer solutions. Allegro supports order entry for Swisscom  products.

Technology stack:

 Java, SQL, CI/CD, Kubernetes/Docker, Kafka, Prometheus, Grafana

Requirements:

  • 1+ year hands-on/commercial experience and know-how of Java (Springboot Microservices and JEE);
  • experience with CI/CD tooling (Jenkins, Maven);
  • to be familiar with container-orchestration systems (Kubernetes/ Docker);
  • very good English (both written and spoken).

Will be considered as an advantage:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent degree/experience in software development or infrastructure is a plus;
  • Experience in Monitoring Tools like Splunk, Prometheus & Grafana and Testing Techniques like grey-box-testing;
  • BPM tools (i.e. Camunda);
  • Experience in business rule engines (e.g. Drools or JRules)
  • Knowhow in Kafka, HP Service Director and AWS, ElasticSearch, Relational DB (i.e. Oracle);
  • Experience with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and pronounced Agile mindset.
