SENIOR BACKEND DEVELOPER/PHP (RIGA, LATVIA)

The company delivers the full cycle development from a product’s prototype to a stable MVP version and enlarges/improves the product’s functionality on the support stage. The company recently launched its first own product Spinner – spin&win gamification widget that is easily integrated into any online store & lets the website visitors authorize, play & win valuable gifts and promo codes. That makes the shopping experience more entertaining & valuable. For online stores, it’s an opportunity to boost sales, create a valuable client base & raise the client’s loyalty to the brand.

Spinner pilot version testers and clients already are Barbora, Douglas, Expressshop. Upcoming campaigns – Rimi, JYSK, Latvijas Maiznieks.

The office is located in Riga center.

Technology stack: PHP (Laravel, Symfony), SQL/NoSQL, Javascript & CSS.

The main product: custom-made web services, web portals & systems, and the company’s own product Spinner.

Due to the growth of the company for our partner, we are looking for a Senior backend developer on the key position in the company to join the team.

Responsibilities:

• Develop backend functionality in sprints (Real Estate project & others);
• Other developers code review;
• Infrastructure planning with dev-ops;
• Standardization & guideline developing and implementing in company’s work processes;
• In the future – junior developers training.

Requirements:

• Experience 5+ years in backend development;
• Good knowledge and experience in PHP (Laravel, Symfony), SQL/NoSQL, Javascript & CSS (low-mid level);
• React/Vue knowledge will be considered as an advantage;
• Ability to work individually and in a team, an opportunity to educate, assist, consult;
• Following-up new trends, initiative to test & implement new technologies;
• Languages: Latvian, English, Russian.

The following would be considered as advantages:
